Tung Shin Hospital is located at the heart of the city center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city. Known previously as Pooi Shin Thong, it is one of the, if not the oldest hospitals in the country when it was founded in 1881 by the then Kapitan Cina Yap Kwan Seng.

Located at Jalan Pudu, Tung Shin Hospital was originally intended to provide traditional medical car before it was converted into a non-profit organization in 1894. Today, the hospital continues to offer high quality medical services to its patients from all over the country where it has since undergone various makeover exercises.

Throughout the years, Tung Shin Hospital has been renovated numerous times with a 10-storey block being built in 1989 that provided a 238-bed facility. Later on, further expansion were involved and while the Tung Shin Academy of Nursing was established to provide healthcare education.

Today, Tung Shin Hospital remains as one of the most affordable choices in the Klang Valley for healthcare and medicine treatment services. It is one of the few hospitals that offer modern and traditional healthcare treatment that include acupuncture, cardiology, anorectum and chiropractic while providing the likes of modern dental, dermatology, general surgery and other services.
