This is perhaps one of the most popular types of Malaysian food around today. After all, if you are going to hang around the Mamak stall for long hours especially during the weekend nights, chances are you will order the very popular Mamak Mee Goreng.
This is the yellow mee that is used in the Char Koey Teow and Fish Ball noodles but when served in the Mamak, they are cooked with an egg, tofu, vegetables (carrots and cabbage) and perhaps some shredded chicken meat. In most cases, you will like it spicy while some might even order it with a sunny side up, more fondly known as ‘Telur Mata Kerbau’.
The total amount of calories in a Mamak Mee Goreng is about 660 calories. If you add another Telur Mata into your dish, then it is another 70 calories. So that means, each plate of Mee Goreng will add more than 700 calories.
