Drinking water is very important because it is what the body needs to replenish damaged cells while keeping it hydrated at all times. It has been found that people in Japan have a common practice of drinking water the moment they get out of bed and it has been proven that this habit is very beneficial.
When you wake up in the morning, you do so with an empty stomach and if you drink water at that point, it helps to reduce the risk of getting several types of diseases. Among them includes headaches, cardiovascular problems, bronchitis, asthma and tuberculosis, among others.
Other known diseases that this practice can prevent include hemorrhoids, diabetes, constipation, uterine problems and ear and eye problems as well. So, how would be the best practice to do this?
Drink about 640ml of water the moment you wake up. You should do this even before you head to the bathroom to brush your teeth. Once you have done that, you might have to urinate which is a common practice. After brushing your teeth, do not consume any food or drinks for at least 30 to 45 minutes.
After that, you can have your breakfast and you should then refrain from consuming any water or food for the next 2 hours and then you can continue your regular practices from there on.
It must be noted that while not everyone is able to drink 4 glasses of water on an empty stomach, one should start with the amount which the body can handle and then slowly increasing the volume to 4 glasses eventually. The only drawback with this practice is that you might have to visit the toilet too frequently throughout the day which is normal as it means your body is recycling well and in about 30 days, you will feel healthier and more energized.
