Gluten is a type of protein found in wheat endosperm. This refers to the type of tissue which is being produced in seeds grounded when flour is made. If it is confirmed that you have this condition, then you will be advised to go no a gluten-free diet. This can be quite challenging because it would mean abstaining from many types of bread, pasta, soy sauce, beer and even French Fries which is in the top 10 unhealthiest foods. The most common practice here is to take note of the label of foods you buy and look for gluten-free products.


If you are gluten-intolerant you can take note of certain symptoms like stomach upset, diarrhoea, bloating after meals and abdominal pain. These are signs to see a doctor and get tested if you might have celiac disease. You will then be required to take a blood test. Besides that, you would experience unusual headaches or migraines, chronic fatigue and lactose intolerance, among others. In some rare cases, hormonal imbalances could occur.
