Your general health and well-being is a crucial part of life. This is self-explanatory because in order to stay alive, the most important thing is to keep your body at its best conditions at all times. Below are some of the top health tips that can help you do that.

This is something that needs no explanation. While it is something you need to do on a regular basis (like sports and hitting the gym), practice stretching each time you wake up which will help in blood circulation and getting you ready for the day ahead.

Never skip breakfast. Skip only if it is absolutely necessary. Always make a point to eat in the morning, and while you are at it, have a balanced meal by adopting one which is high in fiber and protein.

This is something that needs to be addressed. Ensure that you have a balanced diet and one which follow a certain time. Have your breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the standard and appropriate times. Always follow the diet pyramid when eating. Make sure that they are high on fiber to help digestion. Garlic and onions would be a good place to start.

Cut the ‘sins’
Alcohol and cigarettes are what we are talking about here. If you haven’t quit smoking yet, think about it. If you haven’t started yet, NEVER! As for alcohol, take this in moderation. It is good practice to drink a glass of wine each day though. Just don’t over-do it.

Make sure that you keep your bone health strong at all times. Calcium can be gained through milk and yoghurt.

Like it or not and whether you are afraid or not, ensure that you go for a regular checkups to check what’s happening in your body.

Vitamin C
You need at least 90mg of Vitamin C each day. Oranges are rich with this while guavas are known to be Vitamin C providers too. If that is not enough, take supplements.

Drink lots of water, even if it means having to go to the toilet frequently. Take note that you drink lots of boiled water and try to minimize on bottle mineral water. Again, you need to do this in moderation as drinking too much water could be damaging.

Nurse the mind
The physical body can be kept at its best working condition but keep a peaceful mind. Do Yoga or practice mind exercises. Rest the mind when it is supposed to by watching a comedy or listening to light music.

Go to sleep at the right time and do it consistently. Things that should not be brought to sleep are work, business and anger.
