According to recent studies, coconut oil and aloe vera are very beneficial superfoods where they have healing and medicinal properties. On one hand, aloe vera can help to reduce acne, perhaps one of the biggest problems faced by people around the world. Aloe vera is an excellent natrual alternative as compared skincare products mainly a lot of them contain parabens which have been linked to causing cancer. On the other hand, coconut oil is fast becoming the miraculous product that enhances your skin health, among others. Below are 2 amazing recipes that combines the 2 products for better skin health.
First, prepare the following:
- Extra virgin coconut oil
- Aloe Vera gel (fresh)
- A bowl for mixing
- Measuring apparatus (cups and spoons)
- Glass container
- Essential oils (if desired)
First scoop out some gel from the aloe vera leaf. Put into the blender and mix it. Then, take about half a cup of coconut oil and place it in the bowl. Pour it into the blender. Whisk the mixture for about 10 minutes and stop when the mixture becomes a fluffy and frosted liquid. When it is evenly blended, add the essential oils of your choice and mix again. After that, transfer the mixture into the glass container and store it for a day or two in the fridge. The mixture is then ready to use like a moisturizing lotion without having to pay sky-high prices. You can even use this to remove make-up.
Similarly to the first recipe, prepare the same ingredient, adding the following:
- Vitamin E oil
First put about 3 to 4 teaspoons of gel from the aloe vera into the blender and the coconut oil will follow suit. Before that, melt about 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in boiler. You can use a microwave but that might not be too healthy. Then, about half a teaspoon of Vitamin E oil goes in and you can start blending. Do this for a few minutes and then add in the essential oil of your choice and blend again until you get an even mixture. Store the mixture in the fridge and you can use it on your skin after that.
This mixture can be used like a lip balm and even as an after-shave solution.
