Gratitude – Make a quick reflection of the happy things in life. Be grateful of what you have and not be bitter with what you don’t. This will give your day a positive start.
Daily Goals – Pick out the top 3 things you need to complete for the day. They will become your top priorities. By doing this, you can be focused. If possible, complete the hardest tasks first then work on the easier ones.
Meditation – You do not need to be a religious person to meditate. Just concentrate on some simple breathing. This will let you start the day on a calm note. Once you reach your office, sit down, meditate and enjoy the silence. Then start your emails and such.
Stay Hydrated – This is what you must do every morning. Drink lots of water. Your first drink MUST not be coffee no matter how tempting it might be.
Stretching – You can do this after drinking water. Learn some simple stretching exercises so that your body is able to relax. Spend 5 minutes and you get better blood circulation which can help to reduce stress as well.
Music – Listen to soothing and happy music. Get them ready in your car as you drive to work or use it when you are meditating. By improving your mood, it improves your day.
Fresh Vegetables – Make it a point to eat a raw carrot or a cucumber. It gives your body the daily nutrient it needs and makes for a good breakfast too.
Smile and laugh – Read some funny articles or learn to smile. It is part and parcel of staying positive. In fact, smiling has a positive effect on your daily routine. Do this in front of the mirror if you can and it shows when you work with your colleagues later.
