Taking snacks in between meals can be quite harmful to your diet programme especially if you are planning to lose weight. While you can always take foods like Almonds for snacks, which helps to satisfy your cravings without adding much weight, we recommend the following recipe which will reduce your appetite in its own healthy way.
This recipe is called the Almond Cranberry Cookie
What you need?
To make this snack, prepare the following:
- 2 cups of oat known for its high fibre content
- About half a cup of cranberries (dried ones)
- 2 tablespoons of almonds (cut into small pieces)
- 1 tablespoon of protein powder if desired
- Half a cup of almond butter
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
You will have to heat up your oven first. Tune this up to about 320 degrees and then stir the oats, protein powder, cinnamon, almonds and cranberries in a container. On another bowl, mix the other ingredients like honey and almond butter.
Then, blend both the bowls together and leave it alone for 5 to 10 minutes. You will then get a form of batter which you can then break it up and make cookies. Place them on a non-greased baking sheet. Place it into the oven for about 15 minutes. After that, the cookies are ready to be served. Place them in a container and eat this during your snacks. You will not feel as hungry as the ingredients ensure that your body is fuller and at the same time does not add to your weight.
